Environmental Health and Safety Policy
It is the policy of EBARA Technologies, Incorporated (ETI) to provide environmental, health and safety protection and information to its employees, customers, the community, and others who may be affected by its products and/or activities.
MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT
Executive Management firmly believes that comprehensive and proactive EHS Programs are integral to ETI’s success as a market leader and as a good corporate citizen. They are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for their employees, and to develop employee awareness and understanding of EH&S issues by providing the training and training resources for their job duties.
REGULATORY MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE
ETI will comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, and will implement programs and processes to achieve greater protection, where appropriate. ETI’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs are essential to assure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning environmental, health and safety, as well as, the needs and expectations of all customers and other interested parties.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
ETI is committed to conserving natural resources and reducing the environmental burden of waste generation and emission to the air, water and land. Through continuous improvement methodologies, ETI will strive to implement new technologies, where feasible, and to develop environmentally compatible products and processes. ETI will strive to be a leader in reducing, reusing and recycling, and will ensure that any waste is properly disposed of in a safe and environmentally sound manner. ETI is committed to energy conservation and to altering processes, equipment and facilities, when needed, to maximize efficient energy usage.
COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF POTENTIAL HAZARDS
ETI will be a responsible member of its communities. ETI will continue to expand its knowledge and understanding of the effect of its operations on the environment of its surrounding communities, as well as safety and health matters.
CONTROLS AND AUDITS
ETI will maintain procedures for handling and investigating noncompliance, taking action to mitigate any negative impacts and for initiating and completing corrective and preventive action. ETI will establish and maintain appropriate controls, including periodic management and third-party review, to ensure that this Policy is being followed and continues to be effective.
